Maryam Ibnat Imran Institute was founded with a simple but powerful vision: to give sisters in the Twin Cities a real, structured home for Qur'anic education — a place where learning the deen feels warm, not intimidating.
We are not a large institution. We are a community. Every class, every graduation, every memorization session is a thread in the tapestry of this sisterhood.
Our programs are built on classical foundations Tajweed, Tafseer, Hingaad, and Hadith taught by women who have dedicated their lives to the Qur'an, for women who want the same.

Our StoryMaryam Ibnat Imran Institute grew out of a personal conviction that Muslim women in Minneapolis deserved access to authentic, high-quality Qur'anic education in a space that felt safe, warm, and community-driven.
Ustadha Ramla Jama founded the institute with that conviction at its core. What began as a small circle of sisters studying together has grown into a full learning center with structured programs, qualified teachers, and a growing community of women who are reconnecting with the Book of Allah.
We operate out of 1545 E Lake St in Minneapolis a space that has become a second home for many of our students and their families.
